You had me going, Brian! Bad Angels everywhere out to abduct humankind. Sometimes Angles manifest in all forms. I'm off to Home Depot today on shaky legs after reading this story. I'll be on the lookout for suspicious activity. 😰 very believable narrative. Area 51 is only a few miles from me. Along with the 1941 Alien crash site that happened in Roswell NM. The Universe is vast and I do believe we are not alone.
What an awesome story, Brian. I love that you pulled the title from Andrei’s dialogue. I really enjoyed his character and the camaraderie he developed with the narrator in such a short amount of time. It all felt very real to me, and I was able to visualize everything from start to finish.
So fun. Have you read Three Body Problem? Lot of similar themes.
This was way more hopeful than I was expecting, given the apocalyptic circumstances. Andrei made me so happy! And the ending was wonderful.
Damn! Nice one. Love the little aside about customer service deadening that guy. Really well done.
And this landscape with the little robot 👍🤓
Really enjoyed this! Keep writing! Didn’t expect the positive twist at the end, appreciated that!
Your story gives us some hope. I really enjoyed it

Good fun story. I was fun to read a dystopian story with a happy ending.
Aw. This made me happy. Thanks for writing. 🙂

Excellent stuff!
I really enjoyed that story. I'm still smiling as I'm typing this.
The satire and then the hope of rescue.
Brian,
This sounds like the recent power outage we’ve experienced.
