Well done Brian! At first I thought the unicorn pooping glitter might have been a little much, but on further reflection I think you laid the groundwork for it. There’s just some really nice details in there--especially the exemption at the end.
Thanks Tom! If anything is going to have glitter in its poop, then it's definitely going to be a unicorn 😁 This story was a little more comedic than most of mine, and next week's story will be more foreboding 😨
It honestly never occurs to me to bring “supernatural” or fantastic elements into a story, but as I read your piece, I thought: why not? it’s all invention, and why should I erect a barrier against some invention and not others? I may have to try it in the future.
Awesome, I look forward to seeing your results in the future. I'm sure it will be great. To make it an easier experiment you can always do a smaller piece of flash fiction. Sort of dip your toes in the water.

That’s what I’m thinking too. Thanks for the inspiration.
Those darn gremlins are always getting into mischief!
I enjoyed the fantastical twist to your story. There are so many memorable lines here. Great job, Brian!
Thanks Justin! This is the type of HOA meeting I wouldn't mind going to every month... I wish I lived in a neighborhood with dragons 😁
Haha! You and me both! 🤣
