This is a lovely, sensitive piece of writing. As a guy who has been married to his college sweetheart for 48 years next month, it gives me a bit of hope and inspiration. What else is literature for?
Wow, congratulations, Jim!!! This year will be 22 for me and my wife, and I would love to be blessed with another 26. Thanks for reading and commenting.
Thank you, Ben! I was a little hesitant as my wife did not like the ending. So, I get to tease her about it now, but not too much because I don't want to lose my editor. 😁
My wife doesn't even read my stuff. Once in a while I'll read something to her, just to see if it makes any sense. I read her the first two paragraphs to my WIP, and when I was done, she said: "Where are you going with this?" That's the kinda answer I needed. It has the makings of a long story as I try to figure it out.
Some of the best feedback we can get has nothing to do with grammar or writing structure but is the, 'I don't get it' response. If we pay careful attention and ask questions, we can usually get more clarity and improve.
Beautiful tale, Brian. Speaks volumes about Faith and Love, with an affirmation that there is indeed life in our wonderful universe other than ours. No wonder I love to read every one of your stories. Keep them coming.

Am I the only one who thought of space alien abduction? 🤣 Well done, Brian.
You're not the only one, Mark. Maybe aliens, maybe a portal, maybe an interdimensional rift... so many options. 😁
Beautiful and haunting story Brian. Never ever give up on one's intuition is what got out of this story.
Thank you! Some connections are definitely more powerful than others. 😁
Wow, this story is so compact but it manages to convey so much! Love the deep sense of mystery and awe. Very inspiring.
Thank you, J.M.! I like to leave a little of the unknown for people to fill in the details. Have to keep those imaginations healthy 😁
Great read!
And, just noticed your logo in the corner of the artwork, love that simplicity as well!
Thank you, Sujan! Just enough to know it's me 😁
I look forward to reading more of your stuff, Brian.
A great Mother's Day story.
What a wonderful thought! Thank you, Clancy, for reading and commenting.
I really liked that one Brian. Excellent. I like how it ended. Perfect!

Thank you, Rudolph, for reading and commenting to let me know!
Really liked the illustration on this one. Fits in nicely with your aesthetic here
Thank you, Phillip! This one took me way longer than expected, which is why it's not color, but I'm glad you like it 😁
I honestly preferred it not in colour, blended in more with the story. Just a personal taste thing though, the colour ones are great too!
Very good. I enjoyed it a lot.
Papa
Thank you for reading and your support! I'm happy you enjoyed it.
Nice. I could feel the tension and frustration growing in the forest.
Thank you, Garrett!
