Thanks, Tom! It's funny you mention that because I said to my wife after I finished this was the first short story I've written where I thought I could turn this into a novel. I'm keeping it in my back pocket for next year 😁
Yup, I definitely know I'm not ready. I would want to commit to it, and it's just not something I have the energy for at the moment. So for now I'm living through your serialized novel!
I’ll write about what it feels like to write a novel at some point. I’ve written six non-fiction books, so it’s not like I don’t know how long it takes to write a book. But fiction takes over a different part of your brain and asks totally different things of you. It’s pretty wild/
Thank you, Bill! I love stories with carnivals, the circus, fairs, boardwalks, etc. There is just something about it all that is magical to me. There will definitely be more of those in my future writing 😁
Dang man, this is good! It feels like a slice out of something bigger. Is there more?

you can definitely feel the presence of a deeper story in there. But watch out: a novel asks a lot more of you, as I’m finding out.

I would love an article like that to get a sense for how you've been working through it. That would be very helpful.
Wow, that is a very impressive work, Tom! Have you published them?
Well, not impressive yet! I’m serializing now on my Substack, then will revise and submit for conventional publication.
Wow! Anything is achievable through the power of your mind magic does happen when you make that leap of faith. Good read Brian!
Thanks Njakins! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
So amazing to see you keep going! :)
Thank you! And thank you for reading 😁
Stories with Ferris wheels in them are magical and Future Thief is extra magical. I enjoyed it a lot.

I want to live in a story about carnivals. Ray Bradbury is one of my favorite writers and your story reminds me of his.
I'm right there with you!
Brian
Great story.

Thank you 😁
