Wow! What a cool short story. It immediately pulled me in which is rare. I had to finish and NOT skim! It hit me on many levels, the old school book store / library, the different personalities, the barista being friendly, the protagonist's guilt, his inhumanity and humanity at the same time. Very cool!
I hope you can get it published or perhaps just to a wider audience!
Wow. You’re really knocking it out of the park lately!
Thank you for the encouragement, Leanne! I have felt my creativity thrive the last few weeks. We'll see how long it lasts. 😁
Rise the wave for as long as you can!
This poignant story has great potential for something bigger.
Thank you, Richard! I'm getting to the point where I would like to try something longer. I don't know if this is the one, but it's a contender.
I can see at least a novella, in which both characters grow toward each other, banding together against the extremes.
That was excellent Brian...the timing of "I killed her husband" was exquisite!
Thank you, Nick! I had to capture your attention immediately. 😉

Thank you for the gracious feedback and encouragement, Bruce! I love it when readers are able to engross themselves in the story.
Wonderful, Brian.
Thank you, Jim! 🙏
There I was, reading the first paragraph, thinking "Ooh! Tom Clancy! I love those! " and then wow.
*Wow*.
Thanks, Michael! I aim to throw you for a loop every once in a while.
My god, Brian! What an incredible story!
Thank you, Jason, I'm glad you liked it!
A powerful story.
Thank you, Jeff, and thank you for your editorial review. You suggestions really made it shine.
Excellent, Brian. And a fine picture of grace and forgiveness, as well as being human.
